Our systems hold the Engineering Stamp for structural strength. i.e. Handrail, wall rail and Guardrail assemblies and attachments shall withstand a minimum concentrated load of 200 pounds applied horizontally or vertically down at any point on the top rail.
316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel
All of our railings and components are comprised of the highest quality marine grade AISI 316 Stainless Steel suitable for indoor, outdoor and beach front areas. 316 stainless steel is excellent for applications within five miles of salt water or sea water because of its enhanced corrosion resistance.
All steel is naturally corrosive but 316 stainless contains a higher concentration of molybdenum which is what makes it so resistant to pitting and corrosion that may occur from stress, scratches or other blemishes. Although 316 is more resistant to corrosion it is not corrosion-proof unless using our passivation solution to clean the railing immediately after installation. Application of the passivation solution will clean and seal your new railing system. The length of time that the passivation will be effective varies based on the climate and conditions of the area. Harsher climates may require a yearly or twice yearly application where as a more mild climate will only need a single application yearly or every few years. The application of the passivation kit is simple by spraying the railing for a period of 15-30 minutes at room temperature. After soaking, rinse the surface with clean water. The surface can then be wiped dry with a clean cloth or appropriate absorbent medium. A stainless steel cleaner bought from your local hardware store needs to be applied at the end in order to seal the stainless steel.
Our 316 components are randomly lab tested to ensure the metallurgic makeup meets the standards for 316 graded stainless steel and corrosion resistance. The testing is done by Metal Test Inc. in Kent, WA.

Load Testing Calculations
Rather than being true square bar, each horizontal steel bar
that spans posts is a rectangle shape, 9/16″ x 3/16″ (15 x 5mm) and come in 8.2 foot lengths. These bars are sturdy and sleek, without looking bulky.
There are two post kit options: 36″ and 42″ Stainless Steel Railing Systems Square Bar. These are only available in top mount, square options. 36″ posts are fabricated to require 7 spans of horizontal bars between each post, and 42″ posts are fabricated to require 9 spans between each post. Each of these posts can be used as an end or middle post; we also have 36″ and 42″ fabricated corner posts.
Cable Railing System Engineering Detail
Cable railing systems feature full stainless steel fittings and cable. Our cable railings require a handrail for stability against the pulling forces of the cable. The styles are interchangeable, a square post can be used with a round top rail and a round post can be used with a square top rail. We offer a variety of top rail fittings in order to create a continuous toprail. Both of our post mounted handrail brackets, pyramid and cone, are compatible with wood or other top rail options.
